Celebrating 100 Years at Walter Reed

Celebrating 100 Years at Walter Reed

May 1, 2009 provided an exciting opportunity to celebrate the history and lasting legacy of the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, the heroes who served our nation and the many physicians and staff who have contributed so much to warrior care over the past 100 years. Established in 1909, Walter Reed has grown and evolved over time to meet the ever-changing needs of the wounded warriors and their families. More change is to come in 2011, as this institution shuts its doors at the current location and steps up to a new era in military health care in the National Capital Area--Joint Commands at the new Walter Reed National Military Medical Center at Bethesda and the Community Hospital at Ft. Belvoir.

The XIO team was proud to be a part of the Centennial Celebration and is looking forward to our continued support of the Walter Reed mission. Learn more about 100 Years at Walter Reed.

XIO Eases Buying Process for RFID Hardware and Software

XIO recently announced that it had expanded its product and service offering through the General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule 81 IB for Shipping, Packaging, and Packing Supplies, enabling an easier buying process for XIO customers when RFID vendors’ products and services will add either strategic or financial value to their deployment project(s).
Currently, XIO offers products from Alien Technology, a leading provider of passive RFID hardware including tags and readers, as well as GlobeRanger, a RFID software and solutions company, whose edgeware supports mobility and data collection. As XIO customers express interest in new capabilities, the company will expand its portfolio of partners through the GSA Schedule.
